Interior design is very important especially if you want to decorate your room. If you want to work on your existing fabric or furniture or you want to decorate your empty room, principle of interior design will help you to choose everything you need. The element is very important in interior design. It is kind of row materials like paint for the painter. The element of interior design would include: texture, color, form, line and obviously the space it self. The interior design principle is actually how you emphasize, proportion, harmony, unity, balance, and proportion and balance of the element.

Balance.
Balance is visual equilibrium of the room. Balance gives sense of completion and repose. You will have a well balance room if you carefully consider placing object base on their visual weight. The amount of space occupy by the object should base on elements of texture color form and line. Well balance usually also referred to where you place the element (texture color, form and line) in side the room. Well balance room could be achieved by distributing the element over the room evenly.
Mirror image effect is symmetrical balance in which usually refer as formal balance. On the other hand, informal balance gaining room equilibrium by placing different objects of the some visual weight.

Emphasis.
Focal point of the room is called emphasis. When you enter the room focal point of the room should be clearly visible. This is the area to attract the eye of the visitor on the room.
