Different types of parenting styles.

Welcome to the wonderful world of parenting. Parenting is a kind of art that involve many aspects of live. To bring up the children parenting require physical and mental involvement that every parent well-ware about it. Some expert believes that parenting style could come under four major categories. This would include: Indulgent, authoritarian, authoritative and the last is uninvolved.

Let’s have a look closely one by one.First let us discuss about authoritarian parenting style. This type of parenting is like in the army. The parent plays as chief commanders. Children should do whatever the parent told. Question and feedback are not appreciated.
The children live in the structure environment. They may do well at class, but usually they are unhappy children. The boys show hostile behaviors where as the girls easily give up with difficult situation.

The second type of parenting style is indulgent style. Indulgent style parent usually more lenient. They would allow their children to do anything their like. Children have to look after themselves. Indulgent parent will avoid confrontation with their children. Democratize and non directive parent come to this category. Non directive parent take no action in their parenting role, while democratic parents are aware about their duty and commitment to their children.

On the third category is authoritative parent. The children should behave to certain manner determined by the parent and not to ask parent authority while certain limited amount of question and feedback is allowed. The children look happier as their parents understand and provide what the children need. Children self confident and emotional control grow well in balance. Children will have less issue in gender stereotype.

Finally, the last type of parenting is uninvolved parenting. As the term, parent is simply not involved in their children’s development. As the result the children usually will be neglected.
